Kate started as a site painter in 1993, working with construction crews. Within a couple of years, she became interested in the field of faux finish and decorative painting.
In 1997, she attended the the Toronto Painting and Decorative Workshop. She earned a faux finish certification with Faux Effects Professional Products. This became the start of Fauxscape.
Now with numerous years of working and furthering her education in the decorative art field, Kate's experience is overwhelmingly visible in every finished product. Regularly updating skills and new product knowledge at numerous conventions and seminars across the country, along with ongoing intense study and along the highest acclaimed teaching schools gives her the edge that sets Fauxscape Studios apart from other studios. Kate currently holds many product and application certifications.
We use only waterborne products many products meeting government standards for earth friendly. These materials are typically non-toxic, odor-free and earth friendly because we are striving for a greener, cleaner planet.
Our faux finishes cover walls in a wide range of "looks" and textures, from simple color washes to complex, one-of-a-kind textures. |
